West Virginia

West Virginia covers 24,229.76 square miles, with 24,077.73 being land and 152.03 square miles being water. The state is almost entirely mountainous terrain as it is located within the Appalachian region. Generally, the climate is a humid subtropical climate.

West Virginia holds a lot of history and natural geographical attractions. We have listed several places that that are of interest and popular. Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, Seneca Caverns, New River Gorge Bridge built in 1977 and to this day stands as the highest bridge in the United States. Stonewall Jackson Lake Resort, Blackwater Falls State Park, Seneca Rocks State Park, Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, and Summersville Lake has the largest shoreline. Monongahela National Forest, Coopers Rock State Forest, Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and Snowshoe Mountain is a desirable winter time destination.

It is estimated that West Virginia has a population of 1,792,179. The median household income is recorded at $46,711. Houses have a median list price of $138,538.
